Manila Bulletin – August 4, 2014
Bag ‘em up, pocket ‘em in. Small gadgets like these will make your day complete.
Mini Bluetooth Self-Timer, Ar+Cook, Smart Watch, and Powerbank/Bluetooth speaker
Four portable gadgets landed in the Manila Bulletin TechLab recently. These teenies are for everyday use for recreation purposes, or to simply look cute. Nonetheless, it’s fun to have gadgets like these for a variety of uses.
This is a two-in-one device designed for the kitchen. One, it’s used to measure the quantity of pasta needed to prepare a menu. It has a built in digital countdown timer with a
very loud alarm.
• Playground Smart Watch
This budget-friendly smartwatch can do what expensive smartwatches can, receive calls, SMS, music playback, plus camera features with the Rwatch app which can be downloaded in the Play Store. The APK is also found inside the 2GB microSD card that comes with the smartwatch.
• Playground PBS200
One of the coolest gadgets we’ve seen in a long time. The PBS200 is a 2500mAH powerbank, which isn’t much, but good to fully charge most devices. What makes this stand out is that it doubles up as a Bluetooth speaker, which can also be used as a loud speaker during phone conversations.
• ipega Mini Bluetooth Self-Timer
We’re seeing a lot of monopods everywhere, meaning IT IS the in thing today. For some of us, carrying one can be a drag, and we still prefer having a remote clicker. ipega’s Mini Bluetooth Self-Timer works for both Android and iOS devices with a click of a button, works up to 10 meters away, and the rubber grip makes the device a decent keychain.
